Many practices and theories in wellness today have been adapted from the 100 year old technique of F.M. Alexander. However, many people are unfamiliar with the technique. 

The Alexander Technique allows you to open up to new possibilities of awareness in mental and physical well being. It will help you “undo” unhealthy habits and bring you back to a neutral state. You, as nature intended! This neutrality will allow you to de-stress and take charge of your inner and physical well being. It is a conscious practice you can use anytime and anywhere.

I’ve searched for many years to find an intelligent natural approach to well being and I hope you will find the Alexander Technique as fascinating and helpful as I have.

WHAT IS THE ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE?

The Alexander Technique is an effective method for improving posture, movement, reducing stress and eliminating pain. The Alexander Technique teaches one how to use mind and body, efficiently, by recognizing unhealthy habits. This method will allow you to avoid reacting automatically and to incorporate conscious awareness in everyday activities.

PAIN MANAGEMENT

The Alexander Technique focuses on the cause of the pain, teaching you to release muscular tension that can lead to back, neck and shoulder pain, repetitive stress injuries (RSI) and stress disorders.

PERFORMANCE

For years the most prestigious acting conservatories, academies and universities have been teaching the Alexander Technique to release patterns of habit and excessive tension and improve performance.

CHILDREN & TEENS

The Alexander Technique teaches students how to remain calm and focused during stressful situations; and how to regain proper posture and movement.

AT THE OFFICE

Do you sit without back, neck and shoulder strain? Sitting is the one activity we do for hours at a time. We are designed to move and when you don’t, your whole body tightens. Having a postural awareness to how we are doing an activity is key! When you engage in the Alexander Technique you to feel calmer, think more clearly and work more efficiently.

SPORTS

An athlete’s performance is greatly determined by kinesthetic awareness of how one uses themselves. The Alexander Technique teaches the athletes how to use their body in the most efficient manner ensuring awareness of actions, which leads to improved performance.

SENIORS

The Alexander Technique is a form of self care that enhances the quality of life for seniors. The technique improves balance and motor functions allowing seniors to move freely without strain to achieve optimal health. It’s a very gentle process and a great way to restore overall coordination and confidence.
